Fall Love Birds

O Man! These two love birds are great! It was great to finish the awesome weekend taking pictures for these two who are getting married in June. The sun was shining and love was in the air. We walked through Concordia Campus in Moorhead were Ryan purposed to Katie. These two birds are great friends of mine who I am very grateful to have known the last couple of years. Here are some of my favourites from a a warm fall afternoon in the great Fargo-Moorhead area.  I hope you enjoy!

Dear Ryan and Katie, I am very grateful that the Lord has blessed me with you two in my life. I can not wait what He brings for you and your future. I am so excited for the up coming months and the future you two love birds will share. Your grateful friend, Ness

Runs Like a Deere

"But store yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For your treasure is, there your heart will be also." ~ Matthew 6:20-21

The auction of my Grandpa's belongings is finally over. It was very difficult seeing his favourite John Deere being drove off the property for the last time. As I helped my mom and my aunts clean, organized and sort through my grandfather's items, this process was an eye opener for me.

Grandpa was a well organised person and only collected things that interested him or were his hobbies, nothing else. It made me think about Matthew 6:19-21, do not collect to many things here on Earth but, have treasures in heaven. To me, this verse means that a person should only collect things that benefit the kingdom of God. Grandpa loved spending time and volunteering at a tracker club. Also, helping others and going above an beyond. My Grandpa brought joy and love into the world and I wish he was still here.

After this experience  it made me think of a couple of things.
1.) I am thankful that my Grandpa loved spending time with his family, loved ones and friends. Helping them with anything and made sure he did his best at everything he did.
2.) I am thankful that Grandpa enjoyed his life and people in his life were impacted by his generosity and love. People that I have meet in the last week spoke highly of my Grandpa and said he will be greatly missed.
3.) I am grateful through this experience that our family bonded and stuck together.
4.) It makes me think of what type of legacy I want to leave behind.

Here are some pictures I took in May before the auction. I wanted to have a collection of pictures to show the beauty of the hard work Grandpa put into his John Deere collection and pictures of some of his other hobbies as well. I hope you enjoy getting to know a man who will be greatly missed.

I have never seen this lake icy in May.

A Warm Spot

Clearly Ness Mardaus did not read her owners guide to her new camera because of two things.
1.) The pictures turned out AWESOME!
2.) Some of them were shot with a different format!

I just returned from the Sunny Phoenix  AZ were I spent a week in the lovely sun with dear friends of mine. We spent the hot days in the sun visiting some gardens in the area and the state capital. I wanted to take some pictures with my new camera that I purchased with money my uncle gave me for Christmas.

I am a true Minnesota Girl. I love the snow, the weather, season, lakes and tress. But AZ has a warm spot in my heart. I never thought a blazing hot city, red rocks, dust and more could feel like home. As Fargo is in a weather advisory and it's snowing outside, I cant wait to for summer to get here.

I have many favourites and left captions on some of the pictures!
I hope you enjoy the AZ pictures and it keeps you warm!

Pinterest has Nothing on me

I am always on Pinterest looking up different ideas for presents, paintings and etc. This winter, I decided to keep busy and make/ create most of my Christmas presents.  My mother, brother and I would always make different presents when we were younger. For me, it wasn't being creative but, it was how many I could get done in one month!

I enjoyed making all of these wonderful gifts and I am saving up different supplies for next year!
I hope you enjoy and I hope you get creative too!
