NFS ~ Jeff's Place series

This special series was for a group of men who lived in a house we named Jeff's Place. This house was a place any one come and have there cup filled with coffee. I spent endless hours getting to know these men and they have become people I could count on them. I am proud and thankful to call them friends and they have taught me so much over the last couple of years. And more years to come.

The Hidden Gem

Every year, I love going to the Hidden Gem in Fargo. There is a secret garden were I always take pictures in the early Fall. In Fargo, we are lucky if we get a Spring and Winter does not come early. I love walking around the garden and catching up with friends. It always reminds me of a song "In the Secret" by Chris Tomlin. This song talks about quieting yourself and reaching out to God.

In the secret, in the quiet place
In the stillness You are there.
In the secret, in the quiet hour I wait,
Only for You,'cause I want to know You more;

I want to know You,
I want to hear Your voice
I want to know You more.
I want to touch You,
I want to see Your face
I want to know You more.

I am reaching for the highest goal,
then I might receive the prize.
Pressing onward, pushing every hindrance aside,
Out of my way, 'cause I want to know you more

I want to know You,
I want to hear Your voice
I want to know You more.
I want to touch You,
I want to see Your face
I want to know You more.

Rejoice

I am always looking and researching different techniques to improve my photography. Of course I could spend all day in the gardens of St. Cloud but, this day my camera was running out of batteries. This made me think of how important every moment it and very day. Every day I try to be a light in a very dark world. I hope these pictures and my work help you to pause in our busy world we live in.

"This is the day the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it."
Psalm 118:24

I hope you enjoy!

This was the last shot before the camera died! Great Shot!

Playing in the Lillies

My family and I finally did our summer tradition and went to Como Zoo in St. Paul. I was very excited for the over cast rainy day and a chance to use my new camera. I was very excited to test out my zoom capabilities and see how close I could get to each flower to make it seem like I fell in. For those who do not know me, I could spend all day taking pictures of flowers. I have always felt a kinship with them and could take the same shot over and over again. These are some of the great pictures I took from the day. I hope you enjoy!

Flowers and Art

This is a shot from my Grandma's garden.

This summer was filled of round trips. At the end of August, I had the chance to go visit my grandparents in Hot Springs, AR. I am more familiar with cold winter  nights than hot, humid 95 degree summer days. We walked around down town Hot Springs, AR and spent the week enjoying each others company. We also adventured to Garvans Woodland Garden were I found an amazing church attach to the garden. There was a featured artist that put his art with the flowers. Oh, it was my cup of tea for sure!Here are some of the great pictures from the week and I hope you enjoy!
