Sunset Row

I have been working on many different projects the last couple weeks. Most of them have been delightful, easy, fun, and beautiful. Some of them have been hard. Trying to find the energy to be creative and getting my thoughts onto the canvas. Or trying to finish what I have started. I have always seemed to start so many different projects and not start them or went down on a different path.
Well, Here is to one project at a time. I took these pictures while taking a short break in Detroit Lakes. This last summer, I have taught myself how to wait patiently for the sunset and when you need to get out of the car and take the photo. Hopefully if I am lucky, I can take some more pictures of North Dakota winter for all of ya.

I hope you enjoy!

The Secret Garden

I am filled with excitement! I have been working on learning how to dream. I am famous for saying "Go Big or Go Home." But, I forgot to dream and achieve those goals. Now, I am looking toward the future and trying to achieve them. I have three different ones in mind. One, work on photography and invest in a nice camera. I would like to get close ups of flowers and take pictures of friends and family. Two, work on painting more often. Three, saving money to travel to see family and friends. Step by step my friends and I feel that I am onto something great.

Niki and I meet to work on some projects at a local coffee shop in town. Since it was an over cast day, I wanted to take advantage of it. I showed her to the "Secret Garden" on NDSU campus. She laughed at me and said, "Ness you are not the only on who knows about the garden! What about the people who planted the flowers!?" She is right but, do you know were there garden is? I hope you enjoy the secret too!

Blessed

What a great vacation! It started off rough but, ended well! Saw amazing friends and family. I crossed the great state of Minnesota, spent time at home, saw my brother, went to the lake, and went to one of my favorite cities Walker, MN. Today, Sept 3rd, was my birthday. I have been so blessed that so many people celebrated with me, called, text and sent me messages. It makes me smile and feel that you all care for me. That means the world to me. You all sure do know have to make a gal feel special. Here are some pictures to say thank you for making my birthday a wonderful day! I hope you all enjoy!

Almost a Year

A Fargo Summer

Well, this year has been more than crazy for me. A lot of crazy kids getting married, traveling, work, struggles, hard times, and forgiveness. I am still processing everything that I have been through and learning from the mistakes in the past. I will not sugar coat this last year, it has been difficult for sure. One thing is for sure, these two crazy kids, Andrew and Emily R., helped me realized that there are people that truly care for you.

This lovely couple is celebrating their one year anniversary this August. They invited me into their home for a wonderful super. We caught up, chatted about our college
days as Bison, and talked about our dreams of the future. Even though I have known these two for several years and never get a chance to meet, I was encouraged by their friendship. It made me remember and cherish the friends that truly care about you. I am grateful for these two and had a blast taking their beautiful and funny pictures. I hope you all enjoy!

Manly

My friends have always have been supportive of art. Some of my friends help me store my large art, some help me hang my own art or even but my pieces. I have always felt bad for my manly friends. The ones that are not into the flowers and feminine colors.  As some of you know, my earlier art career started with lines and every so often I like to go back to my roots. I like to experiment with different shades and layer affects. Some of these paintings are older and have never been documented until now. Well, this one is for the men. I hope you enjoy the not so "pretty" paintings!
