Jeremiah 29:11-18

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.  I will be found by you,” declares the LORD, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the LORD, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile"

Once again, the New Year is upon us. It is quite scary how another year has come and gone. I look back on the adventures and experiences that I had and I don't regret anything. I always look forward and learn from the past. This verse is probably the a hand full of verse that always have been quoted wrong. The Lord promises to protect us and guide us if only WE call out to Him. Sometimes in the busyness of life we forget what is important. Like spending more time with friends and family, praying, forgiving others, being more honest and the list could go on.  And I forget. I forget what should be most important to me.
Jesus

I hope all of you take time to reflect this last year. I know there are things in my life that I will take on the challenge and tackle them this New Year.

Have a blessed and safe New Year!

I have many and intertesting nicknames. All are out of good fun of course. I thought it would be fun to post some self portrates of myself.  These photos were mostly taken during my famous years at North Dakota State: The Bison Years. I have been very blessed to meet awesome people that have become a second family to me. Here is a small, small glimse into my years of being a Bison. I hope you enjoy!

Exploration

A family tradition every summer is to go to Como Zoo  in St. Paul, MN. My mom loves looking at the cats and my brother always seems to enjoy looking at the monkeys. My favorite part is the butterfly garden and walking through the gardens. I have many fond memories of our family walking through the zoo and enjoying the afternoon together. Here are some of my favorite pictures I have taken. I hope you enjoy!

She Said Yes

Ben asked me to help him lay flowers around our tiny apartment with a small card. Each small card had special moments he experienced with his beautiful girl and my roommate Brandy.  She came home and was shocked. Ben lead Brandy around the apartment to read all the cards with a lit candle next to each one. At the end, a teddy bear holding a rose and a ring waited for her. Then, Ben asked Brandy to marry him. And, of course, she said yes. I was very thankful to be apart of the exciting day of the wonderful couple. Here are some shots outside of our old apartment after she said yes. I hope you enjoy!
